Myley Cyrus may not have cultivated the most impressive public persona in her recent attempts to distance herself from her Disney Channel roots, but that doesn’t mean she’s a dumb person. Miley recently bought a Mercedes-Benz SL550 and made some very shrewd choices when she did so.
Miley paid cash for her 2012 Mercedes SL550, a smart move since if she had financed the whole $103,650 starting price for the SL550, she would have paid $16,580 in interest over 60 months. TMZ says that she paid $127,000 for her car, so she saved even more by paying cash. TMZ is also upset that Miley didn’t trade in her old car. They don’t mention what it is, so I’m going to assume she drove there in a four-door sedan or an SUV, both of which are more practical and worth keeping even when you drop a hundred stacks on a roadster. Even if she doesn’t want to keep her old car, everyone knows you get more money by selling your car to a private party than you would as a trade-in at a dealership.
So whether you like Miley or not, you have to respect her for buying a sweet car and doing it right.
