The Ford Fiesta will be redesigned for the 2014 model year. The 2014 Ford Fiesta will have a redesigned front end with a bigger trapezoidal grill combined with upgrades to the interior. The 2014 Fiesta will be officially unveiled in the Netherlands this week. Americans will continue to get the sedan and wagon Fiesta models while the three-door hatchback will only be available in Europe.
Autoweek claims that the 2104 Ford Fiesta will be available with a 1.0-liter three cylinder turbocharged Ecoboost engine, which would make that the smallest engine available in an American car for the 2014 model year.
The Fiesta ST may still be brought to the U.S. for 2014. The 1.6-liter 180-hp four-cylinder engine will make the Fiesta one of the quickest small cars available.
More information on the 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine and the other powerplants will be available later this week. Fuel economy estimates will probably be offered at the launch, but will most likely be the much more optimistic European MPG ratings rather than the U.S. ratings, so we might have to wait a while for an accurate estimate.
