Terrell Owens was dropped by the Seattle Seahawks this weekend, possibly marking the end of a 15-year NFL career. TO tweeted the news yesterday, August 26, saying:
I’m no longer a Seahawk. I THANK the organization 4 the opportunity, I’m truly blessed beyond belief. My FAITH is intact & will NOT waiver.
Owens has said that he was broke in the past, but as recently as 2010 he was backing out of a tongue in cheek bet with a Bills fan over his $200,000 Bentley. Owens bet the twitter user his Bentley if he didn’t make 10 touchdown passes, according to TMZ. When the fan tried to collect the Bentley, Owens understandably was a bit hesitant to make good on the joke bet. Good thing he didn’t give the car away, it apparently cost $200,000. TMZ also has a video of TO getting a ticket in his Continental Convertible, which shows the car in a lot better detail than a picture can, even if you have to put up with the videographer’s attempts at humor.
Terrell Owens’ Bentley isn’t just any Continental, it’s a DUB edition, which means it gets DUB logos and oversized wheels, not much else (not that a Continental convertible needs much else, it’s just kind of strange that DUB Edition cars have any sort of cache when all they amount to is a couple logos and maybe an embroidered headrest).
