When Dwight Howard moves from Orlando to LA to play for the Lakers next year, he’ll be riding in one of the most ostentatious, luxurious and safe (from attacks at least, I have no idea about the crash safety and I don’t know much about the truck’s crumple zones but I imagine they probably omit that from the spec sheet) vehicles you can buy, the Gurkha Knight XV.
Dwight Howard’s Gurkha Knight XV is one of the coolest cars of any celebrity. Like Shaq, the original Superman (as far as basketball goes), Dwight Howard likes oversized vehicles. Dwight Howard saw the Gurkha Knight on the Dupont Registry and knew he wanted one. Luckily for him, money isn’t much of an issue, so he called up a broker and bought one.
The Gurkha Knight XV is a luxury version of Gurkha’s armored vehicle, so any Heat fans planning to eliminate the newest super team with small arms fire won’t get far. If you’ve ever seen the inside of an H1, you probably left with the idea that military grade vehicles aren’t that great for everyday use. The Gurkha is an exception, with several TV screens, a killer stereo and an Xbox for the back seat, it’s closer to armored S-Class than luxuried Hummer. Celebrity Cars Blog claims that the Gurkha has 40-inch wheels, and while it’s a big vehicle (shown below next to an H2), the proportions don’t seem right for that, I think the Gurkha has 40-inch tires and they either swapped the words somewhere between brain and keyboard or don’t know much about cars.
