Picture this: Alicia Keys in the passenger seat of a Morgan Aero Coupe. The car is carving corners in the highlands of Scotland, the sea on your right on the other side of cliffs hundreds of feet high, miles of rolling hills to your left. The gravel driveway of the refinished castle where the day will end crunches under the tires of the wood-framed, bespoke sports car and one of the most beautiful singers alive blinks her eyes as she wakes up from a nap. You’re welcome. Now you get to realize you’ll never be in the driver’s seat of that Morgan, because it belongs to Swizz Beats, and Alicia Keys probably won’t be spending much time with you on romantic getaways, because she’s married to him. I’m sorry.
Swizz Beats revealed recently on Twitter that he has purchased a Morgan Aero Coupe, the gorgeous wood-framed sports car built in England. In addition to being a very successful producer (he made the beat for Ruff Ryder’s anthem, in case you couldn’t put that together from this post’s title), Swizz Beats has shown that he’s a serious car guy in the past, most famously by teaming up with Lotus to promote the brand.
Swizz Beats said on twitter that he plans to name his Morgan Aero Coupe Jean-Michel, after the famous Brooklyn-born painter Jean Michel Basquiat.
