Wayne Gretzky signed this 2006 Ford GT, adding a little bit of legitimacy to the number 99 it wears. The Ford GT signed by is decked out in the classic Gulf Racing blue and orange paint and Gretzky’s own 99.
The Ford GT is modeled after the GT40 that helped Ford beat previously dominant Ferrari for the 24 Hours of Le Mans win. The GT40’s three year reign as champion marked the only time an American car company has won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 2006 and 2006 reincarnation, the GT, also had Ferrari beating performance. With a 550-hp, supercharged 5.4-liter mid-mounted V8 engine pushing just 3,351 lbs, the Ford GT did 0-60-mph in 3.2 seconds, 0-100-mph in 7.4 seconds and 0-150-mph in 16.9 seconds. Top speed was 212-mph.
Wayne Gretzky’s accomplishments aren’t limited to the hockey and automotive signature worlds. Paulina Gretzky, Wayne’s daughter, is one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood right now, and also one of the most prolific twitter picture takers. If I owned a clothing company, Paulina Gretzky would own two of everything I made. Everything Paulina Gretzky wears is a viral advertisement. There have been no official statements that if you managed to get this car, Paulina Gretzky would be willing to go for a ride in it with you, but it’s your best chance of getting alone time with her, so it’s worth a shot.
