Shelby has announced that the 2013 Shelby GT350 Mustang will be available with up to 624-hp in supercharged form, meaning it will be slightly less powerful than last the 650-hp GT500. The 2013 GT350 will be available in naturally aspirated form or with two different supercharger options.
All 2013 Shelby350 models will get Shelby’s suspension upgrades, more powerful brakes, interior upgrades and cooling system improvements. Because the Shelby GT350 is built off of a standard V8 Mustang, any of the factory colors can be used to create your Shelby GT350.
The Shelby treatment for a 2013 Ford Mustang will start at $26,995 (on top of the price of the Mustang GT). The naturally aspirated Shelby kit is available in both manual and automatic modes and can be outfitted with a cold air kit that raises horsepower to 450. All manual transmission models will come with a short throw shifter, according to Autoweek.
The supercharged Shelby GT350 kit starts at $33,995 for a 525-hp model, but those of you with a real need for speed can upgrade that to 624-hp.
