You’ve made it. The business you built with your own two hands has turned into an empire. Your money problems now involve a call from your salaried accountant who knows only to call between nine and five (lest he disturb your carefully calculated work-life balance), rather than collections agencies. You’re well-to-do, and as a result you want to pamper yourself, especially when driving. What you want is a luxury vehicle.
One problem: the sedans and SUVs that offer the level of luxury you’re after are designed for on road comfort and can’t handle the abuse you lay on a vehicle. You can’t tow a 42-foot catamaran with a BMW 5-Series, and you certainly show up on a job site and expect to be looked at as anything but a fat cat. Luckily Ford has a solution for you, a luxury vehicle capable of towing 24,500 lbs.
The Ford Super Duty Platinum will add Ford’s highest level of luxury to its most capable pickups. The Platinum Super Duty will be available in F-250, F-350 and F-450 models, but is only being offered with Crew Cab body style. Either the 6.2-liter gas engine or the 6.7-liter diesel motor can be specified by the buyer. The Platinum Super Duty will have a unique chrome grill, chrome tow hooks, chrome door handles and a chrome rear tailgate.
Inside (where it matters) the 2013 Ford Super Duty Platinum will have leather seating, lots of real wood grain, a heated steering wheel, SYNC, navigation, power telescoping mirrors, rear view camera and a remote start system. The 2013 Super Duty Platinum will also have a new dashboard storage area with USB connections, audio-video connections, an SD slot and a 12-volt charging port.
