Chrysler is adding a new trim level to the full-sized Chrysler 300 for the 2012 model year. The 2012 Chrysler 300 Luxury Series will add ultra-premium leather, hand sanded wood and trim-specific exterior styling and will be the most fuel efficient flagship in Chrysler’s history.
The 2012 Chrysler 300 Luxury Series will start at $40,145 and will get over 30-mpg thanks to an eight-speed paddle shift automatic transmission. The Chrysler 300 Luxury Series will be available with either a 292-hp V6 engine or a 363-hp HEMI V8. Both engines can be had with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive system has an active transfer case and front axle disconnect system that disconnects the front wheels from the engine when not needed for traction, giving the 300 Luxury Series better gas mileage and a sportier feel.
The Luxury Series Chrysler 300 will come with Italian Poltra Frau leather and hand-sanded, matte finished Pure Mocha wood, die-cast paddle shifters, heated and cooled seats, a heated steering wheel and an 8.4-inch touch screen infotainment system.
The 2012 Chrysler 300 will get 31-mpg on the highway with rear wheel drive and 27-mpg with all-wheel drive and the V6 engine.
The MSRP of a 2012 Chrysler 300 Luxury Series with the V6 engine and rear wheel drive will be $40,145. With all-wheel drive, the 300 Luxury Series starts at $42,495. The HEMI-powered Chrysler 300C Luxury Series will cost $42,895 with rear-wheel drive or $45,245 with all-wheel drive.
