New car shoppers who are only looking at the biggest auto makers may be missing out on additional opportunities for getting some of the most exciting new models on the market. One example comes from a car that Popular Mechanics magazine included in a recent list of interesting new car offers for the months ahead. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X already offers power and quality design, but Popular Mechanics writers and others with a passion for newly improved vehicles are looking at a new model of the Mitsubishi Evo set to hit the North American market some time next year.
Some of the big news on this vehicle is that the new model, called the Mitsubishi Evo XI, is expected to offer more miles per gallon through advanced engine design. It’s too soon to tell whether that technology will come in the form of a turbodiesel block or a diesel hybrid engine, but analysts anticipate some big changes for this car to woo buyers who may be distracted by the likes of the Ford Focus, Hyundai Veloster or other new fuel-efficient models. It’s likely that Mitsubishi will add hybrid functionality to the Evo XI, with so many new hybrids commanding big prices on today’s market.
Popular Mechanics also expects the new Evo XI model to be more “refined.” A preliminary sketch on the magazine’s website shows a sleek, sporty looking ride with a wide grill and rear spoiler, as well as neatly slanted contours that will make this car look good on the road. Road & Track magazine is saying the Evo XI will be an “upscale” car with a lot of power and up to 35 mpg combined, making it a good candidate for going toe-to-toe with some of the Audi models in the higher range of high-performance cars.
For buyers who like a top-quality ride, the Mitsubishi Evo XI might provide an attractive option next year when this model hits the states. Make sure to keep up on what Mitsubishi is offering to draw customers from some of the more well-known brands. Some concessions from the auto maker might get you the kind of value for cost that allows for a very good investment that will serve you well on the road ahead.
