As 2012 vehicles from domestic and foreign auto makers start to hit American lots, Toyota is giving customers another reason to take a look at their award-winning 2012 Tacoma pickup truck. This compact truck is already a best-seller in the U.S. market, but in a new press release this morning, Toyota has announced that HD radio technology will be offered in the 2012 Tacoma, along with iTunes compatibility features. This adds to customer excitement over the 2012 Tacoma, the newest version of a truck that has been proven to be a hit with various buying demographics, and is a treasured find on the used truck market.
For those who aren’t familiar with HD radio and what it entails, it’s useful to note that unlike HD television, high-definition radio isn’t really just about more clarity of sound. Although buyers do get crystal-clear sound transmission with this radio package, other extras are more important to many customers. For example, HD radio packages include extra channels and additional formats, with other new technologies such as detailed labeling of song titles and artist names on the dash display.
The 2012 Tacoma is not the only Toyota vehicle that will include HD radio. Toyota is also announcing the offer of this technology on the new Camry as well as the hybrid Prius V and the compact Yaris car. In offering HD radio to drivers, Toyota is in good company, with other brands as exotic as Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz and Rolls-Royce also offering HD radio in their vehicles. According to Toyota, many auto makers are embracing this technology for giving drivers and passengers more sound options as American customers clamor for the best new features and modern conveniences in their cabins.
