Chrysler has revealed the new 2011 Chrysler 300. The 2011 Chrysler 300 is the first redesign in the history of Chrysler’s retro-themed luxury sedan.
Chrysler says that the new 2011 Chrysler 300’s redesign will put it at the head of its class in style and engineering.
“The all-new 2011 Chrysler 300 is an icon of American ingenuity and symbolizes the greatness Detroit-designed vehicles offer the streets, highways and boulevards of the world,” Olivier Francois, president and CEO of the Chrysler brand, said.
The Chrysler 300’s redesign is most prominent on the front end of the car, where the signature huge grill has been shrunk to a shorter, more normal size. Chrysler is clearly aiming at German luxury sedans with the new Chrysler 300, even going as far as to mimic the LED headlight accents found on Audi’s cars for a more upscale look. The new look is attractive, and may sway some buyers who were shopping for German cars, but will fans of the over-the-top looks of the old 300 embrace it?
The new 2011 Chrysler 300 will be powered by an all-new standard V6 engine. The new 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 will have 292-hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. With the V6 engine, the 2011 Chrysler 300 will have gas mileage ratings of 18-mpg city and 27-mpg highway. Chrysler will continue to offer the 363-hp 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine on the 2011 Chrysler 300.
