Kelley Blue Book has released a list of the most researched cars of 2010. Kelley Blue Book’s list for 2010 is very similar to last year’s list, but with notable drops for several Toyota models, most likely due to the publicity surrounding the company’s recalls this year.
The top three most researched vehicles stayed the same from 2009 to 2010, with the Honda Accord (above) topping the list. The Honda Civic was the second most researched vehicle of 2010 and Toyota Camry was third. Kelley Blue Book says that the Accord, Civic and Camry have been in the top three for most researched vehicles since 2004.
The redesigned Hyundai Sonata (shown here) grew in popularity this year. In 2009, the Sonata came in 29th place, but for 2010, the Sonata was the fifth most researched car. The Sonata’s transformation from frumpy midsized to a stylish, affordable alternative to the Camry and Accord made the Sonata a hit for 2010.
The most dramatic drop on the list is the Toyota Corolla. The Corolla was the fifth most researched vehicle in 2009 but came in 14th this year. Other Toyota models dropped in popularity. The Toyota RAV4, Highlander and Prius were the 6th, 7th and 8th most researched vehicles in 2009. For 2010, the Highlander fell to 9th place, the RAV4 to 10th and the Prius fell to 17th most researched.
