Honda‘s incentives for May 2010 aren’t as impressive as the ones Toyota is offering this month. With no 0% car loan incentives and higher cost leases, buyers considering a new Honda this month should definitely shop Toyota. The lack of heavy incentives may actually be a good thing for Honda buyers though. Toyota’s heavy incentives could hurt resale values down the line, while Honda values will stay strong.
While there are no 0% interest car loan incentives on Honda vehicles this month, the company is offering some low interest loan incentives. The 2010 Honda Accord Coupe and Sedan, Accord Crosstour, Civic, Insight and Ridgeline are all on sale this month with 0.9% financing incentives for buyers who qualify for the Honda Graduate Program.
All of those models, plus the Pilot and Odyssey, are available to all qualifying buyers with 1.9% financing on 36-month loans.
The best Honda lease deal for May 2010 is the Pilot, which is available for $309 a month on a 36-month lease.
All of Honda’s incentives for May 2010 are overshadowed by Toyota incentives. The Insight hybrid sedan, for example, has an available $189 per month lease for three years. Compare that to the Prius’ $149 a month lease incentive and it’s hard to recommend that a shopper pick the Honda.
