The next generation Porsche 911 GT2 RS has been revealed at a dealer meeting in Germany. The Porsche 911 is a fast car in any form, but the GT2 is basically a race car for the streets. The 911 GT2 RS will be even more impressive than the GT2, and will be the fastest Porsche ever.

Autoweek reports that the next generation 911 GT2 RS will have 620-hp from its turbocharged flat-six engine. The Porsche GT2 RS will also weigh 200 lbs less than the already light 911 GT2. Performance figures are mind-blowing. Porsche claims that the 911 GT2-RS will accelerate form 0-62 mph in just 3.2 seconds. Porsche also claims that the GT2 RS will do a lap of the legendary Nurburgring race track in Germany in just 7 minutes, 22 seconds.
Only 300 Porsche 911-GT2 RS models will be sold, according to Autoweek. The 911 GT2 will have a price of about $300,000. All of those figures are estimates until Porsche officially releases information to the public on the car. If you’re a very wealthy businessman or woman and want a new halo car for your garage, the GT2 RS is only a few years away, so your patience will be rewarded. For the rest of us, the GT2 RS will only be accessible in the next installment of Forza or Gran Turismo.
