Chevrolet has released official photos of the new 2011 Chevy Camaro Convertible through the car’s Facebook fan page. Chevrolet decided to reward fans of the Camaro with a couple of teaser shots of the new convertible model. Chevy’s pictures show a dark red Camaro convertible and clearly aren’t professional advertising shots. The shots show the Camaro parked in what looks like a meeting hall, so expect Chevrolet to officially reveal the convertible soon.
There’s nothing particularly noteworthy about the 2011 Camaro convertible’s styling. In fact, it looks just like the 2010 Chevy Camaro you can see at dealer lots across the country, except without a roof. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, because the new Camaro is beautiful, and the drop top version is even more lust-worthy than the coupe.
The 2010 Chevy Camaro LS starts at $22,680, so expect the Camaro LS Convertible to cost about $25,000 when it goes on sale next year. The Camaro hardtop faces stiff competition from the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger. Neither of the competing pony cars offers a convertible model though, so the Camaro should have a huge advantage in the sales war once the convertible hits the market.
