The 2011 Audi TT will be refreshed with visual and performance upgrades over the 2010 model. The 2011 Audi TT coupe and convertible models won’t be completely new, but will be tweaked with new technology to make them more appealing to customers. The main changes are more power from the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and the addition of Audi’s trademark LED accents at the bottom of the headlights, according to Autoblog.
The 2011 Audi TT’s 2.0 liter TFSI direct injection four-cylinder engine has been upgraded with Audi’s Valvelift system, which gives the car 11 more horsepower and an impressive 51 more lb-ft of torque. The upgrades to the 2011 Audi TT won’t completely close the gap with the high-performance Audi TTS, which has 265-hp, but are still significant. All-wheel drive Audi TT models will do 0-62 mph in 5.6 seconds. Audi says the TT will get 36 mpg in the European combined cycle, which doesn’t directly correspond to the U.S. EPA’s fuel economy figures, but is a good indication of the Audi TT’s gas mileage.
Audi TT coupe and convertible models will be visually updated with the addition of the LED daytime running lamps that first appeared on the A5. Bigger air inlets on the front and a few tweaks to the tail lights and exhaust tips give the 2011 TT a more aggressive look than the 2010 model. Inside the 2011 Audi TT, you’ll find specially treated leather that resists solar heat and more available colors. The 2011 Audi TT coupe and convertible will now be available in Scuba Blue, Oolong Gray, Volcano Red and Dakota Gray.
