If you’re anything like me, you threw a birthday party when you turned four and nobody came. Despite the fact that we were in preschool and there was cake, my very first friends-only birthday party, held the day before my family one, was empty. If only my parents had loved me enough to build this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles van, I would have been the most popular kid at Pleasant View Day Care.
Jalopnik spotted this radical piece of automotive coolness, which is built out of a Volkswagen bus. The bus looks like it’s built more for transporting turtles to fight the Foot Clan than seating eight, so if you owned it, YOU would get to be the one rejecting people. Sorry Billy, there’s just not enough room in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles van. Maybe you should have shown up to my party so I didn’t have to look at 3/4ths of a cake the next day and wonder what I did that was so wrong.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles van is owned by the Volvo Auto Museum, and is on display at the Chicago Auto Show this month. Unfortunately, that means it probably won’t be for sale any time soon. That means that if you have children, and love them, you’ll need to call around to local custom car shops until you find one willing to build a replica of the TMNT van.
