Taking a page out of Scion’s book, Nissan has decided to make the Krom package currently available on the Cube into a trim level on more of its models, starting with the Rogue. The Rogue Krom, like the Cube Krom and Scion’s Release Series, is an aggressive appearance package that turns the plain-Jane Rogue into a butt kicking beast.
The Nissan Rogue Krom package adds an aggressive front and rear bumper, an attractive new grill, unique 17-inch wheels, body-colored outside mirrors and a roof spoiler. The Krom Rogue will also feature a center-exit exhaust, for a real racecar look. The Rogue Krom will be available on both front and all-wheel drive models.
The Rogue Krom doesn’t feature any performance upgrades to go with its aggressive looks, which is disappointing but not unexpected. The Rogue, even a cool looking one, isn’t really designed for speed racers. If your ego’s on the line and you’re comparing stats with a normal Rogue driver, the Krom package’s free-flowing exhaust system should give it a couple extra horsepower.
