One of 24. That’s who you’d be if you owned the supercar pictures above. Yes, the 2009 Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85 is one exclusive automobile. Built to commemorate the company’s participation in the famous 24 hours of Le Mans race, the C8 Laviolette LM85 is also an invitation.
You see, the invitation will be to this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans race as special guests of the Spyker race team. The C8 Laviolette LM85 differs itself from the standard C8 in that it sports a burnt almond orange paint scheme joined by gun metal gray accents and a black carbon fiber rear spoiler. On the inside the car is upholstered in black leather and Alcantara with contrasting orange stitching.
Apart from the paint, the rest is standard Spyker C8. The two-seater incorporates a lightweight aluminum body, while power comes from a 400-bhp 4.2-liter Audi-derived V-8. The car also sports a manual 6-speed Getrag gearbox which helps it sprint to 60mph from a standstill in 4.5 seconds. Top speed is 187mph.
Buyers of the 2009 C8 Laviolette LM85 will also receive a Chronoswiss 24 Hours Pilot watch with the purchase of their exclusive ride. The car’s gauges can be ordered to match the time piece, as an option. Official pricing has not yet been set, but expect it to be in the healthy six-figure range.
