In what probably seems to be happening at an alarming rate for manufactures, Lexus is now the latest victim of the world wide web. Photos of the company’s new RX SUV have been leaked onto the internet ahead the vehicle’s scheduled debut at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The pictures seem to have been taken from a internal Japanese brochure of the vehicle and clearly show that the new RX has had many design cues plucked straight from the Lexus LF-A sports car concept, and also the LF-Xh concept shown at the 2007 Tokyo Auto Show. We can now assume that this will be the new Lexus design language in the future.
Looks like Lexus didn’t want to mess with the overall shape too badly though as the RX series has been a constant seller for the company. Sources from Japan are stating that we can expect a revised version of the 3.5-liter V6 in the regular model and an upgraded, more potent version of the hybrid model. The new RX SUVs should be in Lexus dealers by early next year.
