The Mazda3 has been a good seller for the company in recent years. Mazda has seen a real upturn in it’s image thanks to sporty and good looking cars that actually drive well. Now the company is releasing the first images of it’s new Mazda3.
From what we can see this is an evolution, not revolution, of the current Mazda3. Why change a good thing? With Mazda3’s accounting for almost a third of all Mazda sales, they aren’t about to mess with success. A more agressive front fascia is accompanied by rakish headlights and bumper scoops. Out back we get new LED tail lamps and a sportier dual outlet exhaust. Dimensions have grown compared to the last model, but not by much.
Power will come courtesy of an all new 2.5-liter four cylinder already in the new Mazda6 sedan. It genarates a healthy 168hp while delivering what Mazda claims will be best-in-class fuel economy. The regular 2.0-liter four will stay in the lineup as the base engine.
That’s all we know so far, but here are some nice pictures to hold you over until we get some more concrete info from mazda…
