Mazda has recently released the first photo of it’s slightly revised 2009 MX-5. The changes are only subtle, with the most notable being the redesigned front bumper which gets a pentagon-shaped grill opening in the front like it’s bigger bro, the Rx-8.
Under the skin changes are very minor. A tweak here and there was all that was needed to keep this little roadster fresh. Mazda has implemented some updates to the suspension and gearbox, but that’s about it. The little roadster has already proved itself in SCCA competition and these new tweaks should make it that much better.
On the other side of the pond, European customers can choose from 16- or 17-inch wheels and tires, plus at least two new exterior colors. Mazda has announced any pricing changes, but expect official specs to be released soon.
