Detroit Lions president Matt Millen was one of several people semi-retired Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre reached out to during the off-season.
Millen said his first contact with Favre was shortly after Favre officially retired from the Packers on March 6.
“He just wanted to know if he could play and I said ‘Of course, you can play,” said Millen, who then didn’t hear from Favre until a few weeks ago.
“The next time was probably three weeks ago,” Millen said. “We texted back and forth. I told him I had a groundhog getting into my vegetable garden so I shot him. He said ‘Mmm, make a stew’.”
And about the subject of Favre and his possible return?
“He asked me if he could call me for advice but he never called,” Millen said.
At least Brett can keep making commercials if he decides to retire from the NFL. Check out the video below of Brett Favre’s Smart car commercial. Click the link below to view the commercial.
