GM is trying a different tactic to help sell its vehicles. The company is offering employee discounts to nonemployees on a limited basis, reports the Wall Street Journal.
GM employees received an email Thursday letting them know they can give one employee discount to anyone they choose from now until Thursday, July 31.
“During this challenging period for people across the country, there’s no better time than to talk up our great products and give someone you know an additional incentive to buy GM,” said GM sales chief Mark LaNeve. “I’m counting on your help in giving us a strong close on our July vehicle sales.”
So if you know anyone who works for GM and you need a new car, now would be a good time to start being super-nice to that person.
