One of the stand out cars at the 2008 British Auto Show was a little electric car called the Nice MyCar. The Nice MyCar is an Italian electric two-seater. It is set to go on sale in the U.K. this fall priced at just under $18,000.
While technical details on the MyCar will only be revealed on Tuesday at its formal unveiling, the MyCar was designed by Giugiaro of Italdesign and built in Hong Kong. Nice, which was launched two years ago in London, says the MyCar has a range of around 40 miles and a top speed of about 40 mph depending on load.
In a statement to show goers, Nice Co-Founder Julian Wilford said the company will be opening retail locations across the U.K. this year, with a European expansion to follow. The car’s availability in the U.S. market is still up in the air. Nice has to see if it will be a viable business option, as it probably wont be nearly as popular as it will be overseas.
