Cadillac has recently announced that the CTS Coupe and CTS SportWagon are going into production in 2009. Also, a new SRX crossover will make it’s debut. While CTS Sport Wagon and the redesigned SRX will go into production in spring 2009, the CTS coupe will follow in summer. All three cars will go on sale next year as 2010 models and should make their world debut’s at the upcoming Paris Auto Show.
The interesting news might be under the shiny new hoods though. You see, that’s ’cause a spokesman for the brand also confirmed that a 2.9-liter turbodiesel from VM Motori, intended primarily for European customers, also may be offered in U.S. editions of the new CTS coupe and wagon.
Both will be assembled in Lansing, Michigan and both will be powered by updated versions of the current V6 emplyoed in the sedan. We’ll probably also see a even more focused CTS-V Coupe, probably pushing out a bit more power than the sedan and sporting some more aggressive features.
Above: Cadillac’s future is looking bright indeed….
