Audi’s new TT is a much better sports car that it’s predecessor. While this one is still based on the basic chassis of the fifth generation VW Golf, the similarities end there. The new TT is a full 300 pounds lighter than the golf, partially thanks to it’s abundant use of aluminum in it’s construction and major suspension components.
Audi went as far as to release a tarted up S version called, um, the TT-S. While the TT-S provides almost 300 ponies to move this new aluminum masterpiece, Audi knows that there are hardcore sports fans that need a more concentrated dose of speed. For them Audi is redying an all new remedy, reportedly powered by a turbocharged 5 or 6-cylinder making close to 400 ponies. Dubbed the TT-RS, the new car has been spotted recently at the famous Nurburgring racetrack and we got the new spy shots to prove it.
