With gas giveaway promotions becoming more common recently to bring in customers, another sector has jumped on the free gas bandwagon.
The Florida Lottery held its first “Summer Cash” drawing Wednesday. Although the main prize was worth $250,000, five other winners will receive free gas for life. That equates to $52,000. Those winners can opt to take the cash if they prefer.
Fifty more lottery players won free gas for a year, which was $2,600 worth of prepaid gas cards, reports the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
The winning numbers are posted on the Florida Lottery’s Web site. Wednesday’s drawing was the first of eight weekly drawings.
With no end in sight to $4+ gas, the Florida Lottery might have found a game that can draw in drivers who are struggling to fill their tank.
