Being a new parent is tough as it is, but one of the most neglected things for new parents is proper child safety seat installation. Though it used to be a bigger problem in past years, even today there are many parents who don’t know how to properly install a child safety seat in their vehicle.
Don’t just blame the parents though! Child safety seats are some of the most frustrating things on earth. Installing one has long been a source of frustration for parents for years. They are cumbersome, complicated, and some even seem to have been designed backwards by someone while they were upside down. In other words, they’re a pain to deal with.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has been hearing your calls for help. What the NHTSA has done is set up child safety seat inspection stations. Parents can find one of these local stations and have someone teach them how to properly install their baby’s child safety seat. This way parents can get educated on how they work and get some tips on how to make the whole process a bit less frustrating.
