Honda has recently announced the pricing for the all new 2009 Honda Pilot SUV. The new Pilot will carry the same base price as it’s predessessor but will get significantly more expensive as the options get added on. The base LX model will be priced at $28,230, while a fully equipped top of the line model will be around $40,000.
The front-wheel-drive Pilot EX will start at $31,030 (up $650 from the ’08 model) while the Pilot EX-L is priced from $34,230 (up $1,550). All-wheel-drive versions will add from $1,530 to $1,600 to the sticker prices, depending on model.
A new top-of-the-line Pilot Touring model carries a sticker of $37,430 for the front-wheel-drive edition and $39,030 for the all-wheel-drive model.
For all this extra dough the Pilot gets a more powerful 250-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine with Honda’s variable cylinder management system. Also the new model gets significant new standard equipment including standard leather upholstery, navigation system and power tailgate on the touring model.
Look for them to start appearing at Honda dealers nationwide soon.
