You see that’s because Audi’s awesome R8 is sold out for months. Every one of the cars slated for production is counted for and it’s one of Audi’s fastest selling models, ever.
The R8 is Audi’s first mid-engine sports car, as well as the fastest Audi ever produced. Equipped with a 4.2-liter FSI V8 engine, the R8 has a 0-60-mph time of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 187 mph.
Audi also reports that the Q7 has become the automaker’s most successful model in the U.S. market after the A4. Audi Chairman Rupert Stadler said he expects a “significant growth in sales” in the second half of the year and predicts “we’ll achieve the millionth car sold by year’s end as announced.”
