The Hummer brand has been a great success for General Motors. The public has thoroughly bought into the Hummer lifestyle quite rabidly and you can now see them in mall parking lots across America.
If there is one thing that has come into question with these Hummers,it’s the fuel mileage. Is there really a need for such a gas-guzzlin’ truck in a day and age where we are fully aware of what ill-effects it is having on our planet? The best the folks at GM could do with that question is bring us a Flex-Fuel model of it’s Hummer H2 SUT.
Starting in 2009 GM will offer it’s new Hummer H2 pick-up and H2 SUT in a E85 compatible version. This new Flex-Fuel version of GM’s Tonka-type toy is suppose to lure buyers who want a Hummer but keep butting heads with this thing called a conscious.
GM will start pushing hard on it’s concept of Flex-Fuels. They are promising 15 E85 compatible models by 2009. A tall order indeed, but one the General has no choice but to fulfill.
Above: Hummer is betting that Flex-Fuels will keep buyers interested….
