Ah yes, winter. A time of endless snow and wonderful holidays. It also happens to be the best situation to capture a new car being tested on the field. You see, snow and cold winter frost is a distracting cover for photographers to hide and take photos of unsuspecting engineers innocently doing their jobs.
The latest example comes to us thanks to the folks at Nissan. Here we can see their latest Maxima sedan being tested in the winter conditions. The chassis for the Maxima is also shared with the Altima. So in reality this can also be an Altima testing but sources close to the project say it is indeed the next generation Maxima.
Word has it that the car will remain front-wheel drive, but will be a tad longer. It will also continue to use the top range V6 from Nissan. Surprisingly, about a year later sources say to expect a diesel version to be introduced to the line-up. I’ll believe it when I see it. For now here are the shots.
Above: Though heavily camouflaged, the new Nissan look to be a evolution of the current car…
