It’s been some time coming now. Porsche has been developing this vehicle for nearly a decade. It’s one of the most anticipated new models from Porsche’s factory in Stuttgart, Germany. Oh yeah, and it’s a four door sedan…
That’s right the Panamera is going to be Porsche’s first forray into the sedan world. Sharing a platform and drive trains with the Cayenne SUV, the Panamera will be powere not by the classic 6-cyl Boxer engine, but rather, the Cayenne’s collection of naturally aspirated and turbocharged V6 and V8 engines.
These are the latest spy shots of the test mule running extensively through a battery of tests in the Arctic Circle. Even though they are at the ends of the earth (literally!) the cars are still heavily camouflaged. This shows how important this new model is for Porsche and how they are willing to wait to get it right the first time around. From what we can tell it looks like a winner, I’ll reserve my judgment of the looks after the official pictures come out though (that rear end C-pillar?) Here are the pictures for now.
Above and Below: Porsche’s four door looks promising. Don’t know bout’ that rear end though…
