Audi AG has released the U.K. pricing for the new TTS coupe and convertibles. The TTS is a high performance version of Audi’s icon TT sports car. Pricing in the U.K will start at $65,737 for the coupe and the roadster will start at $69,675.
Not chump change exactly, but the pricing reflects some tasty new hardware. The new TTS is powered by an upgraded version of the turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder FSI engine. Output power has boosted to 268 horsepower and torque to 258 pound-feet. Audi claims 0-60-mph acceleration takes less than 5.4 seconds with the manual and less than 5.2 seconds with the dual-clutch gearbox. Other upgrades include chunkier brakes, and stiffer and sportier suspension settings. Also, the TTS gets a myriad of cosmetic upgrades inside and out.
Though the TTS coupe and roadster won’t reach Audi dealers in the U.S. until November, as 2009 models, the pricing should hover around the same ballpark when it reaches our shores. Depending on the exchange rate(plus the strength of the dollar vs. euro) the difference should be about ~$5,000. One thing is for sure, this car reflects it’s price.
