The Hummer Brand has been a cash cow for General Motors. Every Hummer that gets shipped out gets sold. That’s a good reason to expand the lineup, don’t you think?
Well now the Hummer brand is actually catering to the people who actually use the thing the way it was intended. The newly announced 2009 H3T will be Hummer first true pickup entry into the market. It will have a real 5 foot bed, good enough to carry to large dirt bikes or full size sheets of plywood.
This will finally give Hummer owners reason to leave the mall parking lot and actually explore a bit. Well, no, it’ll probably live the suburban life it’s siblings lead only carry mulch from Home Depot instead. This is the kind of move that hints at some sort of authenticity but is really there just to keep the Hummer brand fresh. Look for the new “trucks” this fall in dealers nationwide.
