It’s been in the works for almost 10 years now. As a replacement for the Supra, the legendary Japanese super car that cemented the tuner culture and showed a couple of Ferrari owners an ego blow, this new car will also spawn a super car for Lexus. This is the car in question.
Now shown in roadster form, his new super car dubbed the LF-A concept is basically what the new car will look like. Powered by a nearly 5 liter V10 of F-1 inspiration, and making around 500 ponies, this one should be a real contender.
The exterior shape remains the same as the coupe, although the roadster gets what Lexus calls a “speed adaptive” spoiler. Lexus says the beautiful form is good for a top speed over 200 mph. Rumors are though, that Lexus is shooting for a final number well past that mark. Probably around 220mph.
For now we’ll have too stay satisfied with just some gorgeous pictures. Hey, eye candy is better than no candy…
