Cadillac’s newest sport sedan, the CTS, has been an award winner from it’s very inception. It’s been a hit with both consumers and industry types alike. With a mix of performance, style, and luxury the CTS has been selling well.
But besides all the accolades and hype, there is one award that is the most important of all. Safety awards are the kind that really matter, and show that the manufacture has really done their homework. Well now the CTS has received a Top Safety Pick Award by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
The award is a result of the CTS earning the Institute’s highest ratings in front, side and rear crash testing, as well as standard application of Stabilitrak electronic stability control system. The award is rare with only four cars, including the CTS, making the pick for the large luxury sedan category.
Kudos to Cadillac. This is the kind of award that matters and is the type of news that really drives a brand forward. Let’s see what’s next for Caddy’s lineup. They should be rolling out all new models in the near future, and this is a good start.
