Chrysler is in a bit of a predicament. You see, they intended to produce just a limited run of 5,000 units of the 425-horsepower, 6.1-liter Hemi V8-powered Challenger muscle car. So far they have gotten just a tad over 9,000 orders for the car.
Anbody who thought they could get one at original pricing is gonna be in for a shocker when the prices hit the roof because of greedy dealer mark-ups. Dodge has priced the Challenger SRT8 at $37,995, and that includes the $675 destination fee! Pretty reasonable considering the hardware you getting for that money, plus the feeling you’ll get behind the wheel.
Well Dodge just announced how many will be built. 6400, that’s it. If your any higher on that list than , well sorry buddy, you can get one next year. If your really impatient than I’m willing to bet there is someone out there who’s willing to sell you one….with a slight mark-up of course.
Above: Spy shots of the production Challenger only fuel the fire. It looks just like the concept car from the show circuits.
