Just before the Tokyo Auto Salon, Mazda has released pictures of it’s updated and refreshed RX-8 sports car. The RX-8 has been heralded as one of the mos fun cars to drive and it’s engine truly is one of a kind.
The shots were released in an effort to make a buzz, or shall we say continue the buzz, on Mazda’s rotary rocket. The face-lift looks mild but it is effective. Different bumpers front and rear, as well as modified lighting and trim make this car more desirable than ever.
There will also be an RS edition that will debut on Friday at the Tokyo salon. It distinguishes itself from the regular RX-8 with a rear spoiler and 19-inch wheels and tires. There are also reports that the car will feature Bilstein shocks and Recaro sport buckets.
As you may have presumed, it is also coming stateside. Look for it in dealers at the beginning of the year around spring time. Mazda will also release all the technical details on Sunday. Expect a slight power boost and some other small changes.
