So I’m sure many of you have heard of the Volt GM has unveiled. A car that will go about 40 miles without a drop of gas. But, it takes six hours to recharge. So the positive, you plug it in and you can go your average day without gas. The negative, if you get home after your long work day, plug in your Volt and get ready for a nap and you discover you need to rush your sick child to the hospital, but no you can’t your car is recharging.
Now, the Volt can take gas and will switch to gas after about 40 miles, but if this is supposed to draw us away from gas altogether, won’t you think, “eh I’ll just plug it in, I don’t need to fill it up with gas.” I just think this will be a dangerous and confusing switch for America into an electric age.
Are you charged up about the Volt?
