Again Toyota! Well it seems Toyota’s quality issues are not solved just yet. Recently the company issued a recall of over 15,000 4×4 Toyota Tundra large pick-up trucks.
The recall involves a problem with the truck’s propeller shaft connected which connects to the rear axle of the truck.
According to the company a joint in the rear propeller shaft may have been improperly heat-treated, leading to an inadequate amount of hardness. A section of the rear propeller shaft could separate at the joint and immobilize the truck, forcing it to coast to a stop.
Toyota will start sending out letters at the end of December to all affected owners. If you get a letter just head over to your nearest Toyota dealer to get the problem sorted out.
