The Ford Explorer for the last decade has been the top of the SUV charts. But now there is a new king of the mountain that snuck up slowly without many noticing its impact. The Honda CR-V is now at the top. Now to me it seems obvious why the CR-V is at the top. Not only because I own one, but since the new green trend has kicked in, because gas efficiency is a large part of how people choose what SUV to drive. The CR-V is fuel efficient, is small in size, and has the classic Honda engine that we all trust.
The Ford Explorer is just a large, gas guzzling machine that is not appealing to your everyday consumer. The Explorer is not only not at the top but it about four spots from its reign. The number two SUV is the RAV4, again another small sized SUV, that I think again proves my point that big is out small is in. Or better yet gas is out green is in.
