To commemorate the 60th anniversary of their truck line, Ford Motor Company will unveil a Special Edition F-Series this October at the Texas State Fair. Both the F-150 and the Super Duty lines will offer a limited edition package to celebrate the first F-1 truck being produced in 1948.
The F-150 60th Anniversary will come with XLT trim, special two-tone paint and be offered in both the SuperCab and SuperCrew designs with a choice of long or short beds. The Super Duty 60th Anniversary will come with similar gee-gaws to the F-150, as well as being available with the Off-Road option.
Ford has a history of using Texas as the launch-pad for new truck styles and it is only appropriate that the state which accounts for more than 20% of their yearly truck sales should be the site for their latest offering. The Limited Edition 60th Anniversary Ford trucks will be available at your local dealers this winter.
