One thing shows you it is time to research and buy a car, and that is when a manufacturer cuts production. GM announced today, as you can read at Forbes.com, that they are cutting production at 6 plants that are making larger SUV and trucks. GM states the article reads it is due to fuel costs. But if you dont’ think GM’s other statements about the mortgage market are not involved your asleep at the wheel. Read the posting I made recently on this topic.
If there ever was a great time to buy a new truck or SUV I have not seen it and no doubt never will. Even if you are thinking of buying in the months ahed, e-mail a dealer and get a quote, you might be surprised what they are offering in cash back and incentives.
