Fans of modern car design can get a look at what Korean auto maker Hyundai is planning for next year by perusing pre-sale information on the Hyundai Veloster, a coup-style car with mpg, style and lot more for the modern buyer.
Although not all information is available yet on the Veloster, this vehicle, which will be on sale in 2012, comes with a lot of what today’s buyers want in terms of technological features and good overall design. The car also has another thing that lots of American buyers are looking for: Hyundai estimates that the Veloster will get 40 miles per gallon on highway, a fuel economy mark that rivals some hybrid vehicles and complies with governmental standards for future fuel efficiency.
The Veloster will also contain the company’s BlueLink tech system, featuring such items as remote access and ignition, emergency services, and USB hands-free texting. There’s also a lot of audio/video capacity. Safety technology includes not only antilock brakes and six airbags, but TSC, ESC and more for protecting drivers and passengers on the road.
In terms of style, the Veloster’s unique three-door system allows for easier access to the back seat, and the wrap-around look of LED-accented headlights and other front end elements makes this set of wheels look good. The Veloster runs on a 1.6 L four-cylinder engine that’s estimated to provide 138 hp on the road.
Keep an eye out for future reports of MSRP on the Veloster if you are interested in the combination of traditional quality and new high design that this car will bring to the table. As the auto maker ships this one of a kind vehicle to local dealers stateside, it will be critically important for shoppers to look at the kinds of incentives and pricing that Hyundai will offer to get more Americans into its lineup. Another thing to be aware of is factory direct financing rates, as well as the prime lending rate, for when car financing agreements start to look expensive. Make sure you know the market context to get a good deal on this and other new buys in 2012.
